Olga Sherer (a Belarusian) was born in Belarus, Russia in 1987. She began modelling professionally in 2005, making her debut for Issey Miyake. Over her career she has been seen with both dark brown and red hair. This is a model who is striking with amazingly defined cheekbones and features, porcelain skin and red hair that is often uncommon on the runway and suits her so well. She reminds me of Uma Thurman and I think they could almost be twins! Although she is not as striking as Abbey Lee Kershaw and Freja Beha Erichsen in terms of a 'supermodel look', she still is a model to be admired and appreciated. I was sad to see that she hasn't done as much editorial work as many other models and I hope that her current campaign and photographic work continues and becomes more frequent.

What a beautiful complementary colour palette. The designs of Gucci just seem to be so effortlessly sleek and... how else can I say it... perfect. Of course the brand has its own distinct and signature style, the bright patent coats, wispy Italian dresses and beautiful autumnal coloured layering. This is a continuation of the brilliance of Gucci. It is hard to pick one particular collection above the other and seeing as they supply to a niche look, that's a good thing, I think.

Everything about this collection is divine and I don't use that word lightly. I was so relieved to finally come across a collection as beautiful and as inspiring as this, it only took until Milan Fashion Week! The bold colours, the gorgeous lace details, the knee high suede and bright satin boots (definite must-have item), and best of all the metallic green and grey suede coat Jac models. As soon as I saw it I knew it would be a star of this season, mark my words and remember that I predicted it. This is beauty at its best. I wholeheartedly congratulate Alberta Ferretti on a wonderful career and a brilliant collection.

I can't say that I love this collection but I can certainly say that I admire Yigal Azrouël's design principles and aesthetic. It is simplicity, it is layering and it is fairly gender neutral. This is a classic example of New York style in that it is bold and eclectic. I think this collection speaks for itself in terms of it's uniqueness and importance.

This is a stunning collection and a real stand-out at New York Fashion Week. It's almost as if this brand combines two traditionally opposed dress styles: New York and Paris. There is elegance, a sleek design, beautifully draped and structured dresses and a look that smoulders. I would be really impressed if some fashion magazines in the next few months pick up on Sophie Theallet and her collection because it truly deserves an editorial all to itself. Also, it's wonderful to see new faces on the catwalk, congratulations to a brilliant designer.

threeASFOUR Fall 2011 RTW

Now this is what I call creative. Although the string effect has been used before, it's hard to find anything that hasn't, at least this is an inspired and cohesive collection with an clear aesthetic aim. It is bright, bold, structured, curved, with strong lines and a geometric touch. I can't help but be relieved to see some designer's really pushing what can be considered ready-to-wear and also what can be considered uniquely contemporary fashion. Well done to threeASFOUR.
