There are some beautiful bags this season, bright being the common theme. Special mentions to Proenza Schouler and Fendi for upping the ante and keeping bags classy, sporty and elegant. It was also quite frustrating when I was trying to find the best bags, that I came across so many small bags with very long tassels a-la Western movies or the hippy look. Really, this look is utterly nauseating, and I hope one day that fashion moves on from this clichéd "period look." And also congratulations to Thakoon, who's foray into shoes and bags have become supremely original and impressive.

This Fendi collection is true the seasons: spring and summer. It is colourful, airy, fresh and bright. The collaboration between Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Venturini is a successful one and it is surprising and impressive that Lagerfeld can be so versatile in his vision and designs in order to suit a brand. There are some unusual colour combinations and in every instance they somehow work. What I found most intriguing was in the details; the white dress that Natasha Poly wears has light burn marks around the edges, and the dress that Jac wears features flowers made by a coarse weave method. The accessories are also a stand-out. I hardly need to comment because they speak for themselves, and I am confident they'll be a hit. The bold colours, the geometric cuts and the feminine feel are highly complementary and I hope that people will embrace this splash of vibrancy and life.
