John Galliano's fall ready-to-wear show is as Parisian as it gets. Although most of his pieces may only be "ready-to-wear on the red carpet" they are beautiful and a reminder of just what a talented designer he is - a refined eye for detail that results in a look of utter perfection. Honestly, there are not too many designers who can seem to pull off this high level of refinery. As a designer, Galliano has been one of the best for a reason, let's hope that despite the recent controversy he continues to deliver such a high standard, for fashion's sake.

John Galliano has designed a masterpiece of a couture collection. It may not be "ready-to-wear" but it is most definitely "ready-to-wear" on the red carpet. His designs are lavish, innovative (within the bounds of couture), original, wearable and very fresh. I especially love the dress Ginta Lapina wears with the white "pencil scratches" one would see in a fashion illustration. They highlight the dress beautifully and give a classic look a modern edge. The very cinched waist of Maria Kashleva's dress is also different; one of the most extreme illusory appearances of a narrow waist I have ever seen. I cannot praise Galliano's work highly enough. Well done indeed.
