This season was the first time Sarah Burton has designed her own ready-to-wear collection for Alexander McQueen, and we all know that she has big shoes to fill. In this collection, she more than proves that she is a masterful designer with a boundless imagination and has a true understanding of the McQueen label. The pieces are exquisite and upon first glance you might be excused for missing the amount of detail and work that has gone into the collection. This is why I have included details, which demonstrate just how wondrous and luxurious the pieces are. The shoes are a stand out - the heel is like a rococo style pillar, and these shoes, I just have to have. I could not say anything more glowing about this collection as words cannot describe my admiration of the aesthetics. Sarah Burton, you have done Alexander McQueen proud.
