I must admit this season's collection by Nicholas Ghesquière for Balenciaga was a bit of a let down in comparison to last Fall (see here). There was little to get excited about except for the pieces above and honestly, the floral print with the bright diagonal stripes over the top appeared to re-hash the Christopher Kane collection from Spring 2011. I have chosen not to display those pictures because I really didn't find them aesthetically pleasing or innovative at all. Basically, this collection appeared a bit disjointed and incoherent, which is a shame because his Fall 2010 collection is one I am not likely to forget for all the right reasons.
