There were some beautiful looking, decadent and polished pieces on show at Christian Dior, hardly a surprise I know. But what was lovely to see was the re-emergence of varying shades blue, purple, olive and burgundy. This, in combination with the many textures of the fabrics; silk, leather, velvet, cotton etc, made the collection unique and a tribute to layering for winter. Of course, it wasn't ground-breaking design but Christian Dior (and John Galliano) once again delivered a consistently high level of fashion creation and style.
